OFFICIAL STATEMENT: On Saturday night, Coach Jon Rogger endured a massive Heart Attack while coaching the Revolution Jr A Team. He was rushed to a nearby NY hospital where he was transferred by ambulance to Danbury Hospital where life-saving surgery was performed. Jon then experienced a major setback when his heart failed again two days later and needed to be resuscitated. The doctors were forced to sedate Jon and add a life-saving ventilator to help in his recovery. He has been in the Cardiac Care ICU since Monday and will remain there for the next few days while they monitor his progress. Today he will undergo his 3rd Heart Procedure where a permanent PaceMaker will be installed to regulate his arrhythmia. Jon has made great strides in the past 24 hours but has a long fight ahead of him to get released from the hospital. The Revolution Family, as well as the USA Hockey Family, has been unbelievable in its outpouring of love and prayer for Jon. We will continue to pray for and support Jon in his recovery over the coming days, weeks, and months. Please help Jon in his recovery by donating to his GoFundMe as well. Any donations are greatly appreciated. It has been an overwhelmingly emotional week for all of us in the hockey community. Tears of sadness, fear, happiness, and relief have been shed in all forms during this struggle, but one thing has remained constant —and that is the Bond that Hockey creates for us all —- Coaches, Players, Moms, Dads, Brothers, and Sisters. The Hockey Family TRULY IS ONE OF A KIND!! - Chris Kanaly GM Revolution
