Joins Head Coaching ranks after stint as U16 Assistant Coach

GM Chris Kanaly is proud to announce that Jon Houk has been named as the 2005 Revolution Elite Head Coach for the 2018-19 season.

Jon Houk joins the Revolution Elite for his first season as a head coach after serving as the Rev U16 assistant coach for the 2017-18 season.  His love for coaching came from his father, Joe, who has coached in the Atlantic District for over 20 years.

Jon played and graduated from UMASS-Dartmouth at the NCCA Division III level.  He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Crime and Justice and was a four-year starter on defense.  Each year he was named to the MASCAC All-Academic Team.

Prior to his college hockey career, Jon played in the now defunct AJHL with the Northern Mass Cyclones and was a part of the first ever Revolution National Championship berth in the Empire Junior Hockey League.  Jon played his youth (and two years of junior) hockey with the Philadelphia Little Flyers while he attended Council Rock South.  As a member of CR South, he was part of the leadership group that led the school to its first ever Flyers Cup Championship and was voted to the All Tournament Team as a defenseman.
