Team Looks To Bounce Back in Final Home Games of 2017

The Revolution suffered their first overtime loss just seven seconds into the extra frame as the Little Flyers prevailed in the afternoon matinee game 3-2.

The team started slow giving up a quick goal just over 2:30 into the game but responded well by scoring the next two goals of the contest.

Late in the first, Marty Kapoian capitalized on a beautiful feed by Brian Lange, and then in the second, Bryce Witman sniped one high over the goalie's glove to give the team a 2-1 lead heading into the final period.

The Little Flyers tied the score on a missed shot that bounced quickly back out in front of the net off the end boards setting the stage for the win in extra time.

Head coach Jon Rogger believes this is a lesson the team needed to learn at this point in the season, "We hadn't lost a game yet this year going into the third (period) with the lead.  It was important to still earn a point against a divisional opponent but we didn't close the game out the way we would have liked."

The Rev (24-2-1) are back at it again this weekend at the RIG as they host the Vermont Lumberjacks and the New England Wolves.  These will be the final home games of the 2017 calendar year as the team travels to Boston next weekend for a league showcase.

Game times are 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 11:00 a.m. Sunday.  Both games will be streamed live via Hockey TV.
