The journey to a championship was a long and arduous one with many ups and downs for owners Phil and Devra Pulley as well as team General Manager Chris Kanaly.
The drought came to an end Sunday afternoon as the Philadelphia Revolution swept its way to the EHL Regular Season Championship beating the NY Bobcats 13-2.
In the aftermath of the celebration, Mrs. Pulley said that the Revolution Family is a special one. "It was great to see a lot of our former players and coaches at the games this weekend. They all wanted to share in what we have all worked so hard for so many years." She added, "All the credit goes to the players and the staff. They have done an excellent job all season but we aren't finished yet."
Her reminder to the team was that the EHL Playoffs are still ahead of them where the Revolution awaits the lowest remaining seed of the first round.
"It's an unreal feeling (to win the league title)" said Kanaly, "the number of texts and phone calls I have received over the past 48 hours from former players has been overwhelming. It is truly a reflection of the Rev Family and how we go about our business."
Kanaly, not one to rest on his laurels, added, "Coach Rogger, his staff, and his players have accomplished a lot already but our focus will now turn to the playoffs."
The team will have a normal practice schedule as they prepare for their first opponent in the playoffs. The series schedule will be announced early next week.
