General Manager Chris Kanaly was on the edge of his seat Saturday night as the clock wound down to zero and seeing his team earn a hard-fought win against the Vermont Lumberjacks. "It just reminded me of last year's game against them. They tied last year's game with six seconds left, and this game was virtually a carbon copy".
The difference this year was a goal by Bryce Witman with just over seven minutes remaining and the goaltending of Travis Pelke (stopping 25 of 27 shots) to give the Rev a 3-2 victory.
On Sunday, Pelke once again stole the show, earning his 4th shutout of the season by stopping all 24 shots thrown at him by the NE Wolves. "He's been great back there for us all season. He hadn't seen a start in almost a month and he showed this weekend why he is one of the top goalies in the league" said Kanaly.
The Rev now move on to a 3-in-3 weekend with a game at the Jr. Flyers (1:30 p.m. Saturday), and then two games at Rodman Arena in Walpole, MA against the New England Wolves (5:30 p.m.) and the New Hampshire Avalanche (10:10 a.m.).
All three games can be seen on Hockey TV.
